John’s clients are typically looking to work with an advisor who will educate and guide them through the maze of available options and develop a financial plan that is on track to reach their optimized lifestyle. John’s favorite client request is, “Help me understand that.” According to John, guiding a client requires understanding what is important to them and using their values to direct the decision-making process.
John’s expertise has expanded over the decades by working with individuals, couples, divorcees, widows, small business owners, educators, and executives who are concerned about their financial future. Clients have several things in common, including wanting to understand their available options and how their choices impact their future. Their desire is to delegate but verify the management of their investments. Clients seek knowledge regarding how all their assets work together in a unified financial plan and how their estate can be passed on to their loved ones and/or charities they care about in the most efficient manner. As needed, they want to reach out to their advisor with questions and receive a timely response. Most significantly, they desire an advisor who takes the time to identify, comprehend, and appreciate what is important to them.
