Introducing our Spring 2024 Intern

March 4, 2024

At Stewardship Advisors, we offered a spring internship to qualified college students with a finance and accounting background, strong work ethic, professionalism, team skills, and outstanding communication skills. They are able to gain real-world experience and learn more about financial planning and income taxes by working closely with our experienced team. It is with great pleasure that we would like to introduce our spring 2024 accounting intern, Naomi Diehl.

Naomi Diehl is a recent (December 2023) graduate of Messiah University in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. At Messiah, she majored in accounting with minors in finance and international business. Naomi is currently studying for her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exams.  At Messiah, she frequently made the Dean’s list and earned certifications from the Corporate Finance Institute, and Bloomberg Market Concepts. Naomi is passionate about helping others and learning new skills.

At Messiah University, Naomi enjoyed participating in Messiah’s study abroad programs. During her sophomore year, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Lithuania and travel to many of the neighboring countries. A few months later, she had the opportunity to travel across Europe with the International Business Institute. Through Messiah’s International Business Institute, she had the opportunity to visit corporations throughout nine different countries (Austria, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, amongst others) while completing courses to earn her minor in international business.

Naomi was drawn to Stewardship Advisors because she appreciated the kind people, real-world opportunities, and the opportunity to gain tax-related experience outside of the realm of public accounting. Prior to her internship at Stewardship Advisors, Naomi completed two internships at public accounting firms. Through these prior internships, Naomi enjoyed building a skillset in areas such as tax preparation, attention to detail, and learning the culture of public accounting firms.

Naomi grew up in McVeytown, PA, and attended Mifflin County High School. When home, she attends Locust Grove Mennonite Church where she enjoys participating in their young adult group. Naomi is the daughter of Joe and Kristin Diehl. Joe and Kristin own and operate Musser Run Jerseys, a 200-cow dairy, where Naomi and her siblings enjoy helping in their free time. Naomi has three siblings, Hannah, Sarah, and Zach. Hannah is a recent graduate of Penn State University and has returned home to work on the family dairy farm, Sarah is a freshman at Virginia Tech studying dairy science, and Zach is currently a junior at Mifflin County High School.

Naomi is thankful for this internship opportunity and is looking forward to contributing to Stewardship Advisor’s business during spring 2024.
